Just taking a walk along the impressive promenade will allow you to discover some of the most stunning views of sea. The finest restaurants and bars are also located along the promenade to enjoy the delicious traditional dishes of Murcia. Mar de Cristal is also host to a large sized marina that adds character to the surrounding area of beauty.

Perfect for families and groups of people to come and visit, the beach is a great place for fun filled activities or a chance to relax in the fabulous Murcian sunshine. This small compact friendly town features the famous calm crystal clear waters of the Mar Menor with numerous services provided. Beach umbrellas and hammocks are available to hire on the beach for a small cost. Clean showers are for the use of anyone renting water vehicles that are ready to be hired. Feel safe in the water as fully trained lifeguards keep watch constantly.

Gourmet cuisine to tapas and ice cream, the restaurants and bars at Mar de Cristal provide an extensive collection of refreshments during your stay. Found right on the promenade at Mar de Cristal is the Area Cafe, this deli cafe serves wonderful breakfasts, tapas along with a selection of soft drinks and beers to relinquish your thirst. Next door to the cafe is Piccolo Mare, a fulfilling pizza restaurant that has been visited by many celebrities and the owner, a well known Spanish fashion designer.

If you want to visit Mar de Cristal please follow the directions below.
Exit the Mar Menor Resort by turning right onto the F-28 for 0.6km
You will shortly come up to a junction, turn left at Ctra de los Alcazares / F-30 and continue to follow F-30 over a roundabout.
At the second roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the AP-7 ramp to La Manga / Cartagena.
After 8.7 km you will need to take exit 800 towards MU-312 / La Manga. (Keep right at the fork to continue toward the MU-312).
Almost instantly keep left at the fork to continue towards the MU-312 and you merge on it.
After 13km, take the exit 14 towards Mar de Cristal, and then Turn right onto the F-34.
Turn right at F-34 (signs for Mar de Cristal) and simply follow signs for the beach.
